New Build Site Superintendent

I am working with a exciting cruise company who are looking to expand their new build team and are now seeking a New build Superintendent to be based in Europe.

In this position you will oversee the construction of the vessel with discipline and achieving the highest standards of construction by the Shipyard and its suppliers.

You will bring a strong cruise ship new build background being a superintendent or equivalent and you will have either worked on HVAC, Hotel Outfitting, Hotel Technical Systems or Power propulsion. For the role you will:

• To assist in planning activities related to the ship construction
• Familiarisation with the design of the vessel at a detailed level and the shipyard’s construction standards and methods
• Effective construction supervision and inspections for the company and with the aim of ensuring the highest possible standards of construction on time and within budget
• To carry out inspections, tests and trials

The ideal candidate will already be working in the new build sector and will have site experience.

• Ship or Shipbuilding Marine Engineer, Naval Architect or an equivalent discipline-relevant qualification
• In-depth knowledge and experience in modern cruise ship design implementation, construction and outfitting supervision and operations
• High standard of written and spoken English
• Modern cruise shipbuilding experience as owner’s representative
