Marine Superintendent / Marine Manager 

Grapefruit Recruitment is looking for a Marine Superintendent for an established ship owner based in the South West.

The Marine Superintendent will have overall responsibility for the ISM system, fulfil the role of DPA and CSO.

The successful candidate will ensure vessels are manned by suitably qualified staff, and suitably rostered at all times and Company vessels are operated safely in in compliance with local and international regulations.

Other duties will include liaising with all relevant statutory bodies.

Prepare and ensure departmental budgets are met within areas of responsibility.

Be on call to support all vessel operations, working with freight and passenger departments as necessary.

The Marine Superintendent should have small vessel / work boat experience have held a position as DPA and CSO and previous shore based and dry dock experience.   

Candidates will be required to live in the area and a relocation package is available.

Because of the location of this vessel, only candidates already living in the UK and who have the right to work in the UK will be considered for this position.
