Fleet Performance Manager

At ARM Maritime we are looking for a Fleet Performance Manager to be based in Mumbai, India on behalf of our client who are a successfully performing global ship owner and operator.

The focus of this role will be for someone to manage the overall performance of the company's owned and chartered fleet of vessels to ensure that all areas of operations are running as smoothly and as effectively as possible.

Key responsibilities will be;

• Monitor technical managers on monitoring and managing performance of owned ships.
• Monitor live performance of full fleet and analyse vessel’s performance on completed voyages.
• Targeting ships for bunker investigative surveys
• Handle performance claims whilst guiding Operations and supporting the legal team
• Support and consult the bunker team on disputes and surveys
• Support/consultation to Operations, Chartering and legal teams on various Vessel performance related issues, clauses, disputes and any other marine operations related matters as required.

For this opportunity you must have;

• Experience sailing onboard Oil Tankers at a management level is essential
• Experience sailing on bulk carriers is an added advantage
• Fluent English language communication skills
• Good understanding of worldwide weather seasons and storm tracking/ship routeing
• Experience in handling Bunkering Operations and related disputes
• Strong understanding of liquid cargo, oil quantity surveys and calculations
