Marine Analyst – Cruise

I am working with a leading cruise line company who have gone from strength to strength in there field and are now seeking a Marine Analyst to join there team.

For the role you will carry out the following:

  • You will be visiting vessels to examine maritime incidents, technical issues, collisions and groundings and injuries. This role you will ensure safety of everyone on board the vessel at anyone time as well as the equipment and property.
  • There is travel with this position as well as being on call 24 hour when on duty
  • Design, develop and present training out to shipboard as well as shore side staff
  • You will have one on ones to gather evidence with all levels of shipboard staff
  • Respond to incidents and investigations outside of normal business hours, on holidays and weekends when required
  • Meet with external authorities to discuss circumstances and facts surrounding investigations
  • Identify potential risk through incident response oversight and guide shipboard safety
  • Report your findings to the upper management of the company

For the role the company are seeking the following:

  • You will be a confident communicator to different levels of the business as well as external companies
  • will ideally have a maritime background in sailing as a deck or engine officer on cruise
  • Strong writing and organisational skills required
  • Ability to effectively and diplomatically communicate decisions and guidance.
  • Capable of working independently and within a team, regardless of setting, must be self-driven and passionate.

You will have the existing right to live and work in the USA.
