Surveyor/Senior Surveyor (Marine Operations) - Permanent - Liverpool, UK - Competitive
A leading Classification Society is currently recruiting for a Surveyor/Senior Surveyor to join the team in Liverpool.
Working as part of a team of passionate professionals, the successful individual will be independently visiting marine assets in the area to carry out classification and statutory surveys and audits.
Other responsibilities will include;
- Contributing day-to-day specialist knowledge and assess complex problems and finding a range of alternative solutions.
- Leading surveys on specific high risk activities.
- Conducting activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation and industry standards.
- Contributing to external client management; ensuring service delivery is continually improved through monitoring and acting on client feedback as appropriate.
- Assessing the design, production, in-service aspects of engineering assets for complex and demanding situations.
The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent in Engineering (or another relevant subject) or qualifications from a marine or nautical institution and relevant seagoing experience.
You will be working towards or achieving chartered engineering status.
You will also have demonstrable knowledge and experience of classification rules and regulations and experience of marine repairs, materials and equipment surveys.
You will be able to analyse and solve engineering issues using theoretical and practical methods.

Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on ships.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
Certificates and Qualifications
Mandatory STCW certificates are required from all applicants.
