Maintenance Engineer (Ports) - Permanent - Portsmouth, UK - £Competitive Salary

A reputable Shipping Services company within a busy Port is actively recruiting for an additional Maintenance Engineer to join the team.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the key responsibility of this role will be to carry out efficient and effective maintenance of equipment and facilities.

Other responsibilities will include;

• Carrying out required repairs/servicing to the entire Company equipment fleet.
• Ensuring that all repair and maintenance requirements are fulfilled within the companies’ budgetary limits.
• Completing paperwork where necessary and uploading documentation to Company system.
• Supporting other areas of Facilities when required.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role and will have very strong general Engineering/Mechanical/Electrical knowledge.

You will also have excellent working knowledge of Cranes, Forklifts, Tugs and Lifting equipment.

The successful candidate will have strong decision making skills, have the ability to work on your own initiate and have excellent communication and organisational skills.
