Project Engineer (LNG) –Permanent - London – Competitive
A leading LNG shipping company with a global presence is recruiting for a Project Engineer to join the team in London.
Reporting to the Fleet Services Group Manager, this role is to support the Fleet Groups in the recognition and implementation of modifications and improvements to fleet vessels.
Other key responsibilities will include;
- Preparing project management plans, considering schedules, timelines and budgets.
- Management of approved projects at repair periods, either during voyage or in dock
- Reporting to fleet teams and other stakeholders with regard to the performance status of fleet vessels, as per the SMS.
- Monitoring on-going projects and provide progress and cost control reports to line manager.
- Monitoring performance of fleet vessels in accordance with the Time Charter Party performance criteria and SMS, and report any deviations from the baseline.
- Discussing job specification/agree scope with suppliers and evaluate vendors’ tender.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technical operations and propulsion plants of different LNG/C, be familiar with performance monitoring software and have a proven track record in a similar position ashore.
The ideal candidate will hold a Class 1 Marine Engineer Certificate or Naval Architecture equivalent.
You will be a team player, committed to delivering quality, have strong analytical and problem solving skills and have good communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on ships.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
Certificates and Qualifications
Mandatory STCW certificates are required from all applicants.
