Fleet Superintendent (Subsea) – Permanent – South, UK – £70k – £80k plus benefits

This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding offshore shipping company who own and operate a modern fleet

As fleet superintendent you will be responsible for all technical support of assigned vessels and supervising the maintenance routines for all maritime and handling equipment. Ensuring the vessels maintain compliance with class / flag state rules and applicable maritime regulations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Actively demonstrate QHSE Leadership in all aspects of the job
  • Serve as primary contact person for Maritime support to the Marine Emergency Response Team for assigned vessels.
  • Support the daily maritime operation of the assigned vessels. Advise and support Masters and Chief Engineers in technical, class regulation and legislation issues.
  • Liaise closely with Operation Managers on maritime technical issues, regulatory compliance, maritime senior crew staffing and development, maritime budgets, and planned maritime maintenance
  • Participate and conduct audits on owned vessels, chartered vessels and subcontractors as applicable.
  • Monitor and review maritime expenditure on assigned vessels included Capex
  • Manage dry dockings and conversion projects

Experience Required:

  • Education with maritime or technical background as Chief Engineer / ETO or similar.
  • 5 years’ experience in offshore / subsea sector
  • Good spoken and written English skills.
  • International work experience
  • Able to travel offshore and abroad for extended periods of time
  • Strong electrical experience (highly desirable)
  • Must have right to live and work in the UK
