Technical Superintendent (RoRo) – Permanent – Europe – Competitive Package

This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding shipping company based in Europe

Reporting to the Technical Manager you will have responsibility for the efficient and effective operation of assigned ships and to work as a member of the Ship Management Team

Responsibilities include:

• Plan and coordinate all activities connected with maintenance, repairs, dry-docking, conversion or modification of assigned vessels.
• Plan and coordinate all activities connected to class and flag state survey and certificate requirements and build and maintain effective liaison with relevant authorities.
• Assist the project team with modifications, upgrades & projects
• Monitor vessel performance trends including speed, fuel and lubricating oil consumptions, and implement timely remedial actions where these are outside agreed or expected parameters
• Provide effective leadership to Chief Engineer Officers
• Be responsible for Ships Engineering related budgets for assigned vessels

Qualifications / Experience Required:

• Hold minimum of Class 2 Engineer Unlimited license
• Sailed in a senior rank at sea (Chief / 2nd engineer)
• Ideally have some previous shore based experience in a similar role
• Experience sailing / managing passenger ships; RoRo, RoPax, Ferries etc (Preferred)
• Must have right to live and work in the EU
