HSEQ Superintendent (Gas) – London

HSEQ Superintendent (Gas) – Permanent – London – Excellent package

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a HSEQ Superintendent to join an expanding ship management team based in London.

Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, you will work within an experienced team and work closely with other parts of the Technical team based in London and Europe.

Responsibilities include:

• Monitor the periodic safety activities of the ships.
• Supports the HSEQ Manager in planning, developing, coordinating and implementing effective HSEQA policies, processes, procedures and guidelines to ensure that the Company objectives are met.
• Accident Investigation
• Train the crew on safety matters
• Monitor the completion and outcome of the Safety inspection reports
• Visit the ship at least once a year and perform a SHE Superintendent Inspection.
• Review the risk assessments done by the crew.
• Perform ISM internal audits
• Monitor the outcome of the Monthly Environmental Report
• Assist and help in the preparation of the external audits (both office and ship)

Experience / Qualifications required:

Essential

• At least two years in similar role
• ISM/ISPS auditor
• Tanker / Gas carrier experience
• Must be eligible to work in the UK

Desirable

• ISO 9001/ISO 14000 internal auditor
• Marine engineering background
