Technical Manager (Yachts) – Permanent – Monaco – Competitive package

This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable yacht management company based in Monaco

Responsibilities include:

• Be the main point of contact for all technical related issues for a designated fleet of yachts
• Ensure that the technical contractual deliverables for a designated fleet of yachts is met
• Provide technical support to other departments
• Carry out practical inspections on board as well as preparing forecasts and budgets for approval
• Work closely with the client management team in overseeing the yachts budget
• Identifying cost savings as well as potential areas for improvement in the yachts maintenance strategy
• Build and maintain sound relationships with client crew and contractors
• Form part of the emergency response team for technical failures should an incident occur.

Experience Required:

• Previous shore-based experience in a technical management position
• Sailing experience as Chief Engineer / 2nd engineer on superyachts (desirable)
• Degree in marine engineering / naval architecture or project management
• Experience of conducting inspections and surveys of hull and machinery
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and crew
• Must be fluent in English – Additional language skills are a bonus
• A strong team player whilst being able to work autonomously
• Must be flexible and able to travel frequently
