Principle Naval Architect (Small Boat Design) – Portsmouth

Navis Consulting are currently recruiting for a full time Principle Naval Architect within the Small Boat Design Team to work in Portsmouth. The successful candidate will be joining a dedicated team for a well-managed company that that puts its people first.

The Principle Naval Architect will be responsible for providing solutions in support of new build, development and post design projects for small craft.

The successful candidate will have:

• Degree in Naval Architecture/ Power Craft Design
• Already on course to professionally registered (CEng) as a member of The Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA) or equivalent
• Knowledge of commercial/ military small craft
• Experience of CAD software such as AutoCAD, NX
• Familiarity of Naval Architect software, ideally Maxsurf
• Experience with Leading engineering projects
• Experience with Leading small craft design from concept through to delivery.
