Marine Operations Superintendent

Seaworthy Consulting are looking for a Marine Operations Superintendent.

Location – West Scotland
Annual Salary -£38,000 - £42,000
Start Date- ASAP

This position is working Monday to Friday, however due to the nature of the role hours of work must be flexible and on-call will be required.

Accommodation is available in a shared house

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that Company vessels are fully ready for service in all aspects and crewed by qualified and competent crew.
• Ensuring that statutory requirement are met for vessel.
• Working closing with crew and shore staff to monitor and enhance operational performance and assist with the assessment of operational risks as necessary.
• Carry out inspections and audits as scheduled and carry out incident investigations.
• Provide expert knowledge and advice where required on all navigation, mooring, berthing, un-berthing and cargo issues.
• There will be travelling required to visit the vessels.
• Member of Emergency Response Team.
• Liaising with flag stage and classification society bodies as required.
• Full up to date knowledge of SOLAS, MARPOL, SOPEP, IMDG and the Company SMS and Quality Systems.

Clients will consider senior masters looking for a operational position.
