Vessel Operator (Tankers) – London – Permanent – Competitive

A leading Shipping business with an international presence is currently recruiting for a Vessel Operator to join their team in London.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will be involved in the day to day Methanol and Product Tankers operational management.

Other duties include;

• General commercial operations of Methanol Tankers.
• Liaising between Owners, Charterers, Ship Managers, Agents and Port Authorities for smooth running of vessels.
• Preparing documents for Management on operational activities.
• Supporting Chartering Manager regarding Product Tankers’ schedule and loadable plans.
• Cash flow forecast, budget profit and loss accounts receivable and payable.
• Visiting vessels/terminals to obtain technical/commercial feedbacks.The successful individual will liase directly with the Global Operations Manager and will enjoy strong collaboration with all chartering and operations staff, globally.

The ideal candidate will have an extensive track record in an Operational role handling Tankers and have knowledge of management systems.

An Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers qualification is highly desirable.
