Vulnerability Engineer (Shock/Armour) – Contract – Bristol or Glasgow

I have a position available for a Vulnerability Engineer to join one of my client’s sites in either Bristol or Glasgow on a contract basis. The main purpose of this role is to ensure that the vulnerability assessment and design are delivered by undertaking tasks as directed by the Engineering Manager of Vulnerability.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver vulnerability modelling, verification tests and analysis against the design requirements
• Deliver validation and verification scope of work and schedule for Shock Qualification
• Undertake activities in support of HCF design and build compliance to the vulnerability, shock and armour contract requirements
• Maintain Shock predictions
• Achieve survivability maturity targets for review of designs
• Support system design development
• Meet key shock performance requirements

Requirements:

• Technical knowledge of
  • Shock modelling, reporting and analyses including SURVIVE analysis tool
  • Armouring design and installation techniques and ballistic protection
  • Platform design and integration
• Experience of engineering design processes
• Experience with vulnerability activities
