Category Manager Shipyards, Subsea equipment M/F

Mission and main responsibilities

• Management and optimization of a global Procurement spend of approx. 30 Meuros
• Definition and update of Procurement strategies for the main categories (shipyards, subsea equipment, auxiliary mechanical spare parts)
• Streamlining of existing supplier panel, at global level. Implementation of preferred lists of suppliers
• Procurement representative within strategic project teams for new vessel building or maintenance
• Identification, negotiation and implementation of saving plans
• Development and management of the relationship with mutiple internal stakeholders (Technical engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Finance, Ship managers ...)
• Structuring and development of supplier performance program with associated action plans
• Lead of Business Reviews with strategic and critical suppliers
• Monitoring of Procurement value creation, communication and reporting

Main expected results

• Definiti on and implementation of Procurement strategies at global level, for the main categories in the scope
• Structuring and monitoring of supplier performance (cost, delivery, quality, governance ...)
• Understanding of business and stakeholders needs, development of a strong & close relationship with them, strengthening of the Procurement legitimacy internally

Major challenges

• New Procurement organization having to reinforce its legitimacy
• Procurement activities partially done by Business Units (Procurement penetration to be increased)
• Fluctuating and dynamic demand from stakeholders
