Diesel Engineer (Marine) – South West UK

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading business as a Diesel Engineer for our client focusing with in Coastal Marine Services
This is a “hands on role” and you will be required to not only operate various plant/machinery but also to maintain and repair where possible, , Vessel and equipment readiness, compliance , Safety Management System and national/ international standards & best practice, ensuring timely, efficient, safe and successful vessel and site operations is key to the role.

• The safe and efficient operation of the Engineering Plant as per SMS requirements and manufacturers’ standards.
• Ensuring good working conditions and maintenance of all onboard machinery and equipment; keeping proper records and adequate supplies of spare parts and tools

Liaising with all other department to ensure that any defects arising with hotel services are promptly rectified and adequate spares and equipment is available for same.

• Implementation of the SMS procedures and requirements within their Department.

The successful candidate will have extensive marine engineering experience.
