Electrical Superintendent (Passenger) – Permanent – London – £45k plus benefits

The role of the Electrical superintendent is to utilise electronic expertise with responsibility for all electrical/electronic installations, power distribution and management systems on the vessels, plant machinery and equipment to support operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain/monitor vessel specific electrical spares
• Perform fault diagnosis, identify cause of failure and action a repair plan
• Assist and educate other employees on vessel power distribution systems
• Provide cover for electrician during holiday and absence periods
• Assist during in service periods with faults/defects
• Perform routine and annual maintenance in accordance with planned maintenance system
• Maintain and keep updated the electronic planned maintenance system
• Any other duties deemed reasonably necessary by the Technical and/or General Manager.

Experience required:

• Qualified and experienced ETO with Diesel Electric and Hybrid Systems
• Knowledge of marine electrical/electronic power systems
• Knowledge of DC switchboards and DC Converter drives
• Knowledge of electronic & power management systems
• Strong and methodical approach to trouble shooting
• Demonstrable experience of carrying out electrical/electronic planned maintenance
