Job Description Product Manager with Stork:

Manufacturing:

To efficiently manage the production resources, activities and output in keeping with the Company’s manufacturing requirements and scheduling, whilst ensuring to remain focused upon the safety and personal development of production (Assembly, Electrical Assembly and Fabrication) employees within scope of responsibility.

Product Sales:

To efficiently manage the product sales resources, activities and output in keeping with the Company’s requirements and scheduling, whilst ensuring to remain focused upon the safety and personal development of the product sales employees.

Tasks And Responsibilities As Product Manager:

  • To achieve the annual manufacturing production plan in line with the forecast sales for the companies equipment product portfolio.
  • Contribution to Technical Authortiy & Client Support Matters
  • Maintain Safe and Compliant Manufacturing area environment with regard to people, processes and equipment.
  • Known Consignor (Air Cargo) Accreditation
  • Planning & Organising

Staff Management and Performance

  • Communicate corporate and project specific goals to all team members.
  • Regularly review the production and product sales plan with regard to assessment of required personnel and skills mix.
  • Ensure the proper operation of the company’s disciplinary procedure for the employees within the manufacturing area.
  • Facilitate and encourage, with support of HR, professional development of employees in line with operational plans.
  • Ensure that Performance & Development review cycle is carried out in line with company procedures.
  • Encourage growth and development of staff by appropriate delegation of responsibility and authority as well as assist all personnel with career development and performance management cycle.
  • Actively support the agreed training plan arising from the manufacturing P&D reviews.

Product Sales

  • Responsible for the overall management of all aspects of the product sales department
  • Responsible for the preparation and submission of all proposals that are tasked to the department.

Specific Requirements For Product Manager:

Education

  • An engineering based degree (or equivalent qualification)
  • Relevant electrical qualification (e.g. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations)
  • IOSH (safety) and ISO (quality standard) qualification.

Experience

  • Manufacturing or engineering background.
  • Leading a cross-functional team and delivering financial results/improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentational) and ability to motivate other individuals and teams toward goals and objectives.
  • Experienced in establishing high level internal and external relationships.
  • Enhanced negotiating skills and understanding of diverse industry sector requirements and compliance issues.
