Dispatcher for London Workboat Company

Seaworthy Consulting are looking for a Dispatcher with Marine Experience in London.

Location - London 

Annual Salary -£29,400

Start Date- end of August 2019

Objective of position
The Dispatcher ensures optimal planning and dispatch of the vessels and ensures all parties involved are informed accordingly.

Key tasks
In this role, you will assess incoming client assistance requests and decide on allocation schedule and keep track of actuals (e.g. vessel positions, requested assistance, incoming, waiting and departing ships etc.).

Furthermore, you will maintain the dispatch schedule and forecast work load. You will keep all parties involved, such as customers, masters and relevant others informed.

You will ensure safe operations and keep all parties involved, such as customers, masters, harbour authorities, etc. informed about schedule and alterations. In case of emergencies in the port of London, you will act as first and central point of contact. 

Ideal candidate would have local knowledge, logistics and knowledge of the Thames area. They will also have 3-8 years relevant work experience (logistics, administration), preferably in the maritime industry
