RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect incoming material to verify integrity and review associated documentation for correctness to PO description, JQR requirements, Customer Requirements, Design Documents, and Industrial Standards.
• Identify material needing additional inspection, such as PMI, and notify appropriate personnel.
• Tag and remove tags for material as required for Hold, Reject or Acceptance based on inspection results and manage Positive Recall process as needed.
• Manage documentation to ensure proper department receives it and it is properly files.
• Document and communicate issues to Receiving, Production, Quality, Purchasing and Engineering for resolution.
• Approve/reject hydrostatic test and associated documentation.
• Inspect paint and paint testing.
• Some welding inspection.
• Contact for customer inspectors - Notices, Documents, Unit Reviews.
• Ability to review MTR's and quickly identifies material origin, physical and chemical characteristics as well as any other special requirements.
• Coordinate all documentation with Document Control for Data Book completion.
• Maintain and enter data as required.
• Ability to review weld/heat maps on those high specification jobs.
• Perform audits and develop Procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma required
• Technical/Vocational training desired.
• Minimum 5 years work experience.
• Proficient computer knowledge with Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word and Outlook).
