Technical Superintendent (Dry Cargo) – Glasgow – Permanent – Excellent Package
A leading Ship Owner based in Glasgow is currently recruiting for a Technical Superintendent to join the busy team.
Reporting to the Head of Asset Management, main responsibilities will be to provide all-encompassing technical management to support the daily operation of the fleet and supporting on projects.
Other responsibilities will include;
- Planning, supervision and coordination for small vessel fleet emergency dockings when required
- Assisting the project team with modifications, upgrades and projects
- Acting as liaison between the company, contractors, classification society and flag state on related overhaul works
- Vessel visits to enable planning for overhauls
- Planning and coordinating maintenance for small vessel fleet annual overhauls in conjunction with planning and coordination of spares, service providers and third parties
The successful candidate will have sailed, as a minimum, as a 2nd Engineer on Dry Cargo vessels and have shore-based experience in a similar capacity.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of competence in all aspects of smaller vessel overhauls/dockings and projects.
The ideal candidate will have strong initiative skills; ability to get started and work independently when necessary, have strong work and environmental ethics and eagerness to develop solutions to problems.

Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on ships.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
Certificates and Qualifications
Mandatory STCW certificates are required from all applicants.
