Technical Superintendent (Tankers) – Netherlands

This is an excellent opportunity to join an International Ship Management company based in Netherlands.

This position is to oversee the safe and efficient operations of company vessels and drive continuous improvement in performance to ensure that the Company achieves its mission and objectives.

Responsibilities include:

• Planning, controlling and execution of all activities on-board connected with technical operational readiness, planned and unplanned maintenance, emergency repairs, shipboard and technical management, and survey and certificate requirements of allocated vessels, producing variance reports when required.
• Manage all phases of the dry-docking process from initial planning to completion
• Support the production of technical budgets for vessels and control technical costs in line with the agreed running repairs budget
• Be able to communicate to all levels of the business
• To demonstrate that you can work in a high pressure enviroment and be able to work independently as well as part of a team

Experience / Qualifications Required;

• Strong experience as a engineer on chemical tankers
• Shore based experience in a similar position is essential and ship management experience would be desirable
• Be willing to relocate for the role and be based in the Netherlands
• Ability to communicate at good level in both spoken and written English
