Group Coordinator (Cruise Ship) - $ Competitive salary per month on board
ARM is seeking candidates for Group Co-ordinator positions on board some of the most prestigious cruise ships travelling the world.
Whilst being responsible for co-ordinating activities and arrangements for group meetings, conferences and functions, the main responsibilities of the role will include but not be limited to the following:
- Maintain Desk hours throughout the Cruise to meet with group representatives.
- Schedule the conference center, executive boardroom, multimedia room and business services area.
- Meet with client representatives to plan details such as number of persons expected, display space desired and food service schedule.
- Resolve conflict quickly and efficiently and provide alternative arrangements as needed, calculating additional costs.
- Cross-sells, up-sells products and services to compliment the cruise experience.
- Maintain communication with all department heads to plan function details.
- Arrange publicity, special functions and performs other duties to promote goodwill.
- Directs workers in preparing banquet and convention rooms and erecting displays and exhibits.
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- 1 year event planning and excursion experience in a luxury hotel, convention center, sales, public relations field or related hospitality function.
- Proven customer service skills to build and strengthen relationships.
- Ability to conduct meetings efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Ability to perform basic math functions with regard to product and service pricing.
- Completion of high school or basic education.
- Ability to speak a high level of English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests.
- Other language skills are desired (Spanish, French, Mandarin, Japanese, Italian, Portuguese, German).

Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on ships.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
Certificates and Qualifications
Mandatory STCW certificates are required from all applicants.
Please sign up for STCW courses and obtain the certificates if you don't have them yet.
