Guest Security Supervisor (Cruise Ship) - $ Competitive salary per month on board
ARM is seeking candidates for Guest Security Supervisor positions on board some of the most prestigious cruise ships travelling the world.
Whilst being responsible for the effective response to shipboard incidents or accidents the main responsibilities of the role will include but not be limited to the following:
- Hold a highly visible security presence that enhances the guest vacation experience by reducing the frequency/severity of incidents.
- Patrol indoor and outdoor areas, interacting with guests to ensure their security.
- Evaluates situations quickly to determine the appropriate security response.
- Take decisive action to address incidents.
- Utilizes physical control and restraint techniques when necessary to control escalating or dangerous situations.
- Works closely with other shipboard components to raise awareness and importance of security.
- Participates in resolution of incidents, conduct interviews, write reports, assist the Chief/Security Officer to preserve evidence and control crowds.
- Familiar with screening equipment operation.
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Ability to speak a high level of English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests.
- Experience in crowd management and customer relations, principally relying on non-aggressive, non-lethal forms of conflict resolution and crowd control.
- Ability to patrol whilst maintaining a high level of visibility.
- Be able to utilize defensive tactics and hand-to-hand skills to control or escort hostile persons.
- Be able to diplomatically or physically deal with guests in tense, adversarial or confrontational situations.
- Have a level of physical fitness which permits the use of physical control and restraint techniques, if required.
- Other language skills are desired (Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, German).

Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on ships.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
Certificates and Qualifications
Mandatory STCW certificates are required from all applicants.
Please sign up for STCW courses and obtain the certificates if you don't have them yet.
