Skilled Operative (Ports) - London

Skilled Operative (Ports) – 6 Months FTC - London - Negotiable Salary 

A leading charity, who look after over 2,000 miles of waterways throught the UK, is recruiting for a Skilled Operative to join the team based in Docklands, London.

This is a 6 months fixed term contract.

Working as a key part of the existing team, the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the below;

• Experience operating on a river and have knowledge of the River Thames/surrounding area. 
• Experience of commercial boating activities, handling vessel movements, boat handling. 
• Previous experience working in a marina or similar harbour/ship movement environment would give a level of skill and knowledge required. 
• Previous experience working in a similar capacity within a busy Port, Harbour or Dock environment.
• Qualifications such as Deck Hand, Boat Masters and Power Boat Level 2 would be desirable.
