Bar Server (Cruise Ship) - $competitive per month on board + Gratuities

ARM is seeking candidates for Bar Server positions on board some of the most prestigious cruise ships travelling the world.

Whilst being engaged in providing courteous and professional service the main responsibilities of the role will include:

• Reports to assigned workstation on time, properly groomed and dressed as per company standards
• Confirms venue ambiance (lighting, temperature, music)
• Greets and engages with guests, answering questions and providing information.
• Actively promote and sell beverage packages
• Sell and/or upsell guests to premium brands
• Is aware of food allergies and is able to recommend alternatives when needed.
• Takes all beverage orders and relays to Bartender.
• Ask for appropriate identification to determine minimum drinking age.
• Accurately computes bill and presents for payment.
• Takes orders for and serves light meals and hors d'oeuvres according to venue requirements.
• Ensures stations/tables are clean, orderly and properly set.

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

• Two years previous beverage related experience or training
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commission, tips, percentages.
• Completion of high school/basic education
• Working knowledge of varying brands and quality of liquors, beers and wines.
• Ability to speak and read English.
