Job Description / Key Responsibilities As Offshore Project Manager

The Offshore Project Manager is part of the Offshore Leadership Team and is accountable for providing leadership, direction and to deliver against platform services activities on Chrysaor operated assets.

Key to the role is they must be capable of ensuring work scope plans are reviewed and delivered while collaborating with STL and OIE’s on board to support in the leading of Asset Integrity and Maintenance and Modification services discipline teams effectively and be able to clearly demonstrate safety leadership qualities, ensure contractor interface, effective planning and progress reporting and to maintain a safe working environment for the workforce. Management of ad hoc and bespoke Integrity scopes offshore

As OPM, you are a Senior manager position who will report to Chrysaor offshore management and Stork onshore management team in respect of all services activities involved with Operations, Maintenance, Projects, Drilling and Services scopes whilst collaborating with onsite STL and OIE positions.

  • In line with the Platform Plan and onshore team you will review the platform look ahead to identify forthcoming work scopes and assist with the planning of both plant/material and resource allocation
  • Liaise with Chrysaor and Stork onshore on a daily basis to update on the progress, produce reports and data as requested. Record and communicate work scope progress, productivity, operational difficulties and commercial implications.
  • Ensure effective cost control during all projects managing. Play an active role in managing and controlling costs and take an active part in budget preparation and expenditure against budget.
  • Proactively identify and manage resource shortfalls ensuring optimum utilisation of field resources
  • Support STLs and OIEs in managing their teams and address any issues raised, with the OIM as required, chair the departmental safety meeting, comply with the audit schedules ensuring that these are carried out as and when necessary
  • Continually Promote safe working practices and safety awareness.

They must be capable of leading support services discipline teams effectively and be able to clearly demonstrate safety leadership qualities, ensure client interface, effective planning and progress reporting and to maintain a safe working environment for the workforce. The post holder shall make sure that all operatives are competent to carry out specific task assignments, along with ensuring productivity and quality standards are maintained.

  • Management of Minor construction projects including Gratings replacement, Spring Hanger replacement, Bestobell seals and Pipe support replacements.
  • Collaborate with OIE to Co-ordinate FM activity within ICAT campaign teams.
  • Provide Service Team Leader and Deck crew cover where required.
  • Maximize productivity by ensuring teams are working as efficiently as possible, by minimizing downtime and being proactive in ensuring multiple work fronts within the plan are available as fallback.
  • Scoping forelog, Identify and monitor opportunity work scopes to be executed in the unlikely event of a unplanned shutdown.
  • The OPM’s will also be trained in deck operations and helideck activities to allow support to core teams during any absence of the team members.
  • The OPM will be trained to use a point cloud scanner.  They will utilise this mechanism during the scoping of work where not already captured on the web-share

Job requirements

Skills, Knowledge and Experience As Project Manager
 

  • 2-5 years experience in a similar level position offshore is essential
  • All tasks must be carried out in accordance with accepted safe working practices, current rules and regulations and with strict adherence to the prescribed permit to work/ISSOW conditions.
  • You will have proven supervisory experience in key areas such as people management & leadership; commercial management. You will have experience of liaising and managing subcontractors and vendors.
  • You will have experience of planning and co-ordinating various multi task work scopes including but not limited to deck operations, helideck, scaffolding, fabric maintenance, cleaning, crane operations, rigging and material control.
