Experienced Test Development & Industry (CEC) Liaison Engineer required for a global leading business operating globally in the provision of Fuel Treatment Solutions across multiple Industry sectors.

Key Resonsibilities

  • Manage Interface between business & Millbrook testing activity.
  • Monitor/manage budgetary spend on monthly accounts and proposed new testing. Circa £500,000 p.a
  • Ensure tests conducted by Millbrook meet or exceed quality and business requirements.
  • Establish business priorities and factor into Millbrook test plan
  • Generate reports from tests carried out at Millbrook for business and marketing purposes
  • Manage system operations for efficient running of the Millbrook office
  • Translate customer and research group requirements into test programmes, prepare cost projections, oversee test operation, authorise successful sign off and provide test reports
  • Regular sole visits to customer sites as required, advise on test solutions and result interpretation
  • Attend and Chair CEC and external industry committees
  • Prepare & conduct agent and sales training seminars
  • Maintain awareness of recent advances (within relevant technology area) to provide the best service to the business
  • Advise and plan for fleet trials as required for wither research or customer purposes
  • Provide technical engineering services to the EMEA, ASPAC and American region
  • Communicate and report technical information to the technical and sales team, as well as external customers in a clear and concise manner

This role will report into the Technical Services Manager and have key Interfaces with: Customer, Industry Technical Representatives, OEM’s Customer Technical Services and Research Groups.

Candidate should have experience with the following: –

Qualified to Degree standard in Mechanical Engineering with extensive relevant experience in fuel additive applications

A good understanding of current and future relevant legislation

Excellent communication skills, oral, written and presentational

Good people and negotiating skills

Excellent project management skills

Networking skills in technical and business arenas
