Hotel Manager
We are seeking for experienced professional, who are a strong leader, committed to achieving results and motivate others to join as Hotel Manager.
The Hotel Manager is responsible for the overall operation, maintenance and the personnel within the Hotel Department onboard. The Hotel Manager has to establish the manner and means to train and support personnel in his/her area of responsibility.
The Hotel Manager has to maintain the standards and controls for all services offered onboard according to the needs and requirements of the Company and also responsible for maintaining the highest health, hygiene and safety standards required by the Company. The Hotel Manager will report directly to the Captain and Fleet Hotel Manager.
To be considered for this role, you would need but not limited to:
· Follow safe work routines and notify Ship’s Management of any dangerous or unsafe place in the various outlets within the Hotel Department;
· Operate the Hotel Department within the Company’s policy and procedures given, which includes all activities and logistics within the Hotel Department;
· Co-ordinate with Engine/Technical Department on a preventive maintenance program for all equipment and machinery within the Hotel Department;
· Implement equipment safety and safe working practices in relation to all electrical and technical equipment within the Hotel Department;
· Responsible for planning of activities and training program, on the job and theoretical, in conjunction with his heads of department. This includes all concessionaires on board;
· Responsible for conducting appraisals for personnel within the Hotel Department;
· Acting in a training and advisory capacity, this is to evaluate the performance of all staff;
· Monitoring and Controlling Catering Department budget;
· To have weekly meetings with all supervisors;
· To make sure that all stores, bars, restaurants and shops are carrying sufficient stock at all time to ensure maximum revenue at all times;
· Correct and quick action is being taken promptly and discreetly regarding customer complaints.
Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years as Hotel Manager in cruise ship environment;
· Graduated education within the hotel industry;
· Strong F&B knowledge of all service procedures, managing a large team of crew;
· Excellent and proven management, organisational and communication skills;
· Excellent English skills (written & verbal);
· Guest focused, pleasant and outgoing personality and a team player
