Yacht Manager (Technical) – Permanent – Hampshire – Competitive salary

This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding company as a Yacht Manager with a Technical bias.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assisting with the management of a fleet of large yachts, with a focus on the technical
  and operational aspects:
• Managing large yacht projects and refits
• Developing and maintaining strong and positive relationships with the crews of, and owner’s
  teams for, the managed yachts. Diplomacy skills are crucial.
• Presenting information (reports, budgets, etc.) to the owners and their teams, thus requiring a high degree of self-confidence, and ideally prior experience of working with UHNW individuals.
• Assisting with internal audits, both office and the managed yachts.

Experience Required:

• Preferably an engineering degree
• Engineer Officer Certificate of Competency (Ideally class one)
• At least three years’ experience of large yacht new-buildings and / or refits, and preferably some shore-based managerial experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in IT is imperative.
• Some merchant navy / deep sea / cruise ship experience (Desirable)
• Strong self-motivational, organisational and communication skills are paramount.
