Head of Operations (Simulation) – South East, UK – Permanent – Highly Competitive

A leading Marine Consultancy is currently recruiting for a Head of Operations to join their Simulation and Training business unit based in the South East, UK.

Reporting to the Head of the Business Unit, the main responsibilities is to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness of the BU’s activities.

Other responsibilities include;

• Coaching and developing staff, driving operational innovations and supporting the HBU and wider team in opening-up new business opportunities.
• Personally undertaking bid and project management activity and contributing to project deliverables where appropriate.
• Ensuring bids and projects are properly resourced and governed.
• Overall responsibility to ensure that business processes are published, trained for, adhered to and efficient.
• Management, in conjunction with the Head of Business Support, of the Business Unit’s accreditations to appropriate standards for quality, health and safety, environment and security.
• Implementing an overall programme of effective software and product testing and documentation.
• Processes for review and continuous improvement, particularly those relating to project delivery and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record within an Operations Management capacity within the Maritime industry.

You will be required to build relationships with both members of the team and customers and have a proactive and assertive approach.
