Job Description Technical Support Engineer with Stork:

To support in the overall delivery of the Group’s business objectives, whilst implementing departmental procedures in line with Company standards. To provide a Technical Support Function for Group Operations including procurement of plant, associated parts and hoses etc.

 Responsible for technical appraisal and initial input into Aspire of all plant requests for specific contracts.

Tasks And Responsibilities As Technical Support Engineer:

Plant Coordination

  • Responsible for technical appraisal and of all plant requests for specific contracts.
  • Focal point for co-ordination and processing of contract plant requests and subsequent mobilisations
  • Control the recall of all out of certification plant items
  • Actively participate and contribute in the day-to-day interface between operations and R-Plant.
  • Assist operations with the identification and implementation if necessary of specific plant and equipment.
  • Assist operations teams with the identification and implementation of necessary plant related training requirements.
  • To fully support the Plant & Equipment Delivery Manager and to provide holiday relief.
  • Make appropriate decisions to avoid unnecessary overtime working by workshop staff.
  • Responsible for providing out of hours support.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of Plant Data Sheets
  • To Raise CIF’s against 3rd party suppliers for failure to supply reliable equipment.
  • Produce certification reports routinely to assist the Operations team in controlling out of cert equipment on site.
  • To assist in reducing third party requirements and hire costs for the specific contract.
  • Liaise closely with Workshop Supervisor to ensure timely processing of all plant requests
  • Assisting management team in the satisfactory resolution of problematic plant issues

HSEQ

  • Attend & contribute to health and safety training and briefs.
  • Assist in maintaining own and others’ health and safety.
  • Contribute to a culture of HSEQ improvement.
  • Support quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Execute work safely and reliably and to a quality standard.
  • Ensure you are adequately trained to carry out the job.

Operations Support

  • Assisting Operations team with work-scope evaluation including surveys and identification of necessary plant requirements
  • Assisting Operations team with the identification and implementation of necessary plant related training requirements

Specific Requirements For Technical Support Engineer:

Education

  • Excellent mechanical/product knowledge

Experience / Skills

  • Good communication, interpersonal, organizational skills, team player
  • Excellent aptitude towards Health & Safety
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in comparable role
  • Sound Commercial experience & negotiating skills
  • Must be prepared to spend time with team developing their skills and expertise
  • Computer literacy, advantageous but not essential

Additional Requirements
