Requirements Engineer – Surrey (Frimley or Ash Vale) – Permanent – Competitive Salary + Benefits

Would you like a varied and exciting role? Navis is resourcing a vacancy for a Requirements Engineer at our Defence and Maritime clients site in Ash Vale or Frimley. As a Requirements Engineer you will be responsible for obtaining, creating and documenting requirements relating to the proposed design a major new suite of systems for testing submarine systems. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on the design and development project for this equipment, which forms part of a major new suite of systems for testing the submarine infrastructure. You will have great exposure and support the development of state of the art technology.

Your main responsibilities as a Requirements Engineer will involve:

  • Working across the full engineering lifecycle, you’ll be eliciting, capturing, analysing, reviewing, specifying and recording requirements from the sub systems groups, and converting these into well-crafted precise requirements.
  • Working with the Design Authority and Engineering groups and developing the requirements that form a major element of the functionality of the new suite of Test Equipment for the United Kingdom’s future submarines.
  • Working with and influencing key project stakeholders.

Your skills and qualifications:

  • You should have as a minimum an undergraduate degree in Engineering or related scientific discipline
  • Strong and precise verbal and written (English) language skills
  • Requirements experience to enable design and development decisions
