Senior Technical Superintendent (Dry Cargo) – Glasgow – Permanent – Highly Competitive

A leading Ship Owner based in Glasgow is currently recruiting for a Senior Technical Superintendent to join the busy team.

Reporting to the Head of Technical, main responsibilities will be to provide all-encompassing technical management to support the daily operation of the fleet.

Other responsibilities will include;

  • Overseeing the Technical performance of the vessels, ensuring that they are operated safely, economically and efficiently.
  • Responsibility for the oversight and operational management of the running repairs budget
  • Complying with and promoting safety rules and procedures,
  • Liaising with and maintain a strong working relationship with the Marine, HSQE and Service Delivery teams

The successful candidate will have sailed, as a minimum, as a 2nd Engineer on Dry Cargo vessels and have shore-based experience in a similar capacity.

The ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills in relation to managing, developing and motivating small high performing teams.

Work Experience Requirements

All applicants must have previous experience in working on ships.

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications

Mandatory STCW certificates are required from all applicants.
