Port Hydrographer

Port Hydrographer – South England – Permanent – £40,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen with one of the UK’s biggest ports for a Port Hydrographer to join their growing marine services team. You will undertake hydrographic surveys, verifying and processing the data collected, to produce periodic bathymetric charts and information relevant to the safety of navigation within the Competent Harbour Authority area.

The successful applicant will be a licenced holder of an accredited hydrographic qualification to IHO Cat A standard. At least one year’s practical experience in hydrographic surveying, including inshore survey techniques, and sound knowledge with at least 1 year’s practical experience using multi beam survey systems.
