General Manager (Ship Management) – Hamburg – Permanent – Excellent Package
An International Ship Manager is currently recruiting for a General Manager in Hamburg to lead their business into the next phase of fleet growth.
As part of the Senior Management team, this role will participate in the creation of Company strategies, facilitate their implementation and contribute to the achievement of the Global Company business and strategic Operational and Commercial targets and performance.
Other responsibilities include (not exhaustive to);
- Responsibility for the safe, efficient and cost-effective management of all vessels within the Fleet Teams under their supervision.
- Responsibility for managing and planning the operation of the Fleet Management Teams, including allocation of vessels within the Fleets and ensuring provision of adequate resources to effectively manage allocated vessels.
- Monitoring the profitability of the Fleet units under their control.
- Ensuring crisis situations are handled and exposures mitigated.
- Ensuring that Owners are advised of incidents or other concerns which affect their ships.
- Identifying and sharing best practices and innovative solutions with the Corporate Team.
The successful individual will have a proven track record in a leadership role handling LNG carriers within a Ship Management environment.
You will have sailed in a senior rank on board LNG vessels, be highly energetic with potential to grow the business and be able to deliver ambitious results internally and to customers.

Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on ships.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
Certificates and Qualifications
Mandatory STCW certificates are required from all applicants.
