DP & Electrical Superintendent (Oil & Gas) - Permanent – Aberdeen - Competitive

An international Oil & Gas organisation is currently recruiting for a DP & Electrical Superintendent based in the offices in Aberdeen.

Reporting to the Marine Technical Support Manager, the individual will have detailed knowledge of vessel electrical, electronic, automation and DP systems.

Other responsibilities include;

• Daily assistance to Vessel Superintendents in order to assure that DP, Automation, Electrical/Electronic systems is maintained to relevant standard
• Technical assistance in connection with breakdowns and maintenance
• Assist Vessel Superintendents with investigation and reporting of DP incidents to enable a safe return to work
• Annual DP trials, documentation and acceptance
• Follow up changes in rules and regulations
• Develop and maintain relationship with manufacturer/suppliers of relevant equipment

The ideal candidate will have excellent understanding of vessel electrical, electronic and DP systems and equipment.

Another key requirement is an awareness of relevant international standards, codes and regulations for Marine systems.

The successful individual will have a technical qualification in Electrical Engineering and have previous experience in an offshore environment.
