I am currently representing a leading shipping company in the container market who are looking for a Sales Manager to join their team in Bucharest.

The Sales Manager will work closely with the Sales and Marketing departments to aid in their development and growth. To achieve this, you will have to guide sales team to meet their goals and KPIs through creating a productive yet challenging environment. To do this effectively you will have to undertake duties such as:

• Manage all marketing activity
• Monitor the performance of the account owners
• Preparation of weekly / monthly / annual reports
• Improve cargo mix using BU Analyzer to identify the best paying cargo and guide the sales team in their activities.
• Allocation management:
  • Checking daily vessel’s schedule/eta
  • Coordinate with cargo flow, trade management and customer service the allocation and possible roll overs.
• Lead sales meetings

The ideal Sales Manager will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a marketing and sales capacity ideally in the container industry. Coupled with this a certified professional education or degree in Shipping or Logistics Management would be extremely advantageous. The ability to speak English and a local language is essential.
