Fleet Engineering Manager – (CTV)

Fleet Engineering Manager – Permanent – Essex – £40k – £50k plus benefits

This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding company who operate a fleet of high quality crew transfer vessels in the European Offshore Windfarm sector.

The successful candidate will possess excellent organisational and communication skills along with an in depth technical knowledge of fast small craft and their main machinery.

You will be liaising closely with the operations departments and working to tight deadlines whilst managing a team of travelling Fleet Engineers and liaising closely with vessel engineers and crew.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain a high level of maintenance and reliability of the vessel fleet
• Manage, with the support of the fleet engineers, vessel defects and planned maintenance.
• Plan yard periods along with advanced planning of scope of works and equipment/parts required
• Task the team of travelling shoreside fleet engineers who are working on a 3 week on/off rotations
• With the assistance of the purchasing department, source the replacement parts for defects
• Manage and motivate fleet engineers.

Minimum Requirements

• Requires a degree (or similar) qualification in Marine Engineering or must have experience in a similar role.
• Must be able to work closely as part of a team
• Driving License
• Strong problem solving skills
• Hard worker
