Most of our Cranes are AHC Knuckle boom cranes ranging from 40t to 150t. Operators usually require a Stage 3 certificate with experience of heavy lifts onto the seabed. Operators move equipment around the Deck and onto the vessel from the shore.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in all lifting activities in a safe and reasonable manner as per standard industry practice, at all times as per Deck Foreman and/or Shift Supervisor instructions.
- Guarantee good performance of the lifting activities and establish a maintenance check list
- Report to the Master, Deck Foreman and Chief Engineer any deficiencies or malfunctions or outstanding maintenance.
- Train other Crane Operators in the use of this type of crane and other lifting gear on board if required
- Fill-in crane logbook with list of events and maintenance performed, overload, survey, load test, and any deficiencies.
Above mentioned list of duties is not exhaust ive and tasks on board vessels assigned to this position are not limited to above list.
