I am looking for a Senior Risk Consultant to join the Technical Investigation team in Southampton. This marine company is a global organisation and your role will support both internal and external clients needing risk based techniques. Areas include alternative fuel technology, ship systems, design development of ships, ports, LNG supply chain, bunkering operations as well as other areas of business within the shipping industry.
Responsibilities:
- Perform risk based assessments
- Provide specialist advice
- Keep within agreed parameters including budget and time constraints
- Use software for delivering HAZOP, HAZID and risk studies
- Manage projects
- Discuss, present and suggest alternative solutions to clients
- Strive to improve service portfolio
- Suggest improvements for service delivery effectiveness
- Coach employees in risk assessments, both qualitative and quantitative
- Development and delivery of training
- Administrative duties required by the position
Requirements:
- A Degree or equivalent OR a Sea-going experience as a certified Ship’s Engineering Officer
- High level of written and spoken English
- Track record of using risk assessment techniques in an international client basis
- Working knowledge of PHA Pro 8 Software, PHAST or similar
- Awareness of QRA techniques and ALARP Principles
- Project management experience
- Must be a UK resident

Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
Certificates and Qualifications
Mandatory STCW certificates are required from all applicants.
