Technical Superintendent (Passenger) – London

Technical Superintendent – Permanent – London – £45k-£50k plus benefits

This is a new and exciting role within a busy marine engineering department. The Technical Superintendent will support the 24/7 engineering operations of the fleet.

Responsibilities include:

• Technical line management for a team of engineers
• Prioritise fleet defects raised and delegate tasks ensuring engineering governance
• Provide technical input to the development of specification and oversight of the construction of new build vessels
• Monitor vessel condition and ships staff compliance
• Work alongside Fleet Maintenance Manager, Project Manager and Dry-Dock manager to ensure annual, intermediate and renewal dry-dockings are planned
• Ensure solutions to vessel defects are implemented with long term solutions

Experience required:

• Practical engineer with technical vessel management experience
• Experience with management of statutory & classification requirements
• Experience in high speed vessel propulsion systems
• Experience in budget management and KPI reporting (desirable)
• Familiarisation with IMO High Speed Craft Code (Desirable)
