Senior Structural Surveyor (Permanent) - Cumbria

I am working with a high profile client and they are seeking a Senior Structural Surveyor to provide independent oversight of submarine building activities in Cumbria. This is a unique opportunity to become involved in technically challenging marine construction activities.

Responsibilities:

• Survey activities
• Implement safety strategy on site and in designated areas for subcontractors
• Audit activities of mechanical installation and steel construction
• Support and provide technical resource to the Project Manager
• Deal with technical enquiries
• Identify and anticipate key technical challenges
• Implementation of project systems and processes
• Share information and knowledge with Project Team members
• Any other duties required in this position

Requirements:

• New build construction survey experience
• Equipment and component certification experience
• National standards and codes knowledge
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be a sole UK National for security clearance

Knowledge of submarines would be very beneficial but is not essential.
