Technology & Engineering Chief Engineer- Farnborough, Hampshire – Permenant – £50,00-70,000 + benefits

Owing to continued growth, Navis’ client has an exciting opportunity for a Chief Engineer to join our Technology & Engineering business reporting to Senior Vice President, Technology & Engineering, helping us set the technical direction for the future as well as supporting our Business Development activities.

Responsibilities include:

• Technical direction for new business & bids
• Ownership of the Technical roadmap
• Supporting the delivery teams during the execution phases.

Essential requirements for the role

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in an engineering role with at least 5 years working at a senior level
• Experience in equipment and systems design is a must for this role encompassing electromechanical disciplines ideally in a safety critical application
• Degree educated in an engineering or science discipline, ideally masters qualified or above and you will typically be CEng or a fellow of your chosen institution
• Exposure to a leadership role in order to provide technical guidance to other engineers.
• Full understanding of product development lifecycle and associated requirements on product/project delivery including exposure to project management principles
• Capable of providing clear and concise presentations to internal and external Customers.
• Good communication skills, self-motivated and able to communicate effectively.

Desirable

• Similar role in the Green Energy Sector * Defence industry background
