RF Engineer (Principal) – Isle of Wight – Permanent – £Competitive + Benefits

A principal level RF Engineer is required for a global force in maritime defence capabilities working at the cutting edge of technology. The Principal RF Engineer opportunity will be based from 1st class facilities in Cowes on the Isle of Wight. As a Principal RF Engineer, you will be working on radar systems offering an in-service support contract spanning various projects. You will work across the systems life cycle from design through to manufacturing. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on exciting, varied projects with a good longevity. You will have the chance to work on some of the most cutting-edge defence technology, with the opportunity to become a domain specialist.

Key Responsibilities will include: –

• The development of complex RF and analogue systems, sub-systems and components, from conception through to release into service
• Requirement acquisition and analysis, as well as derivation of lower level requirements
• Design of electronic assemblies including component selection, schematic capture and support to PCB layout
• Specification of bespoke procured items
• Verification of components, sub-systems, and systems using a combination of simulation, analysis, test and assurance techniques
