Technical Manager (Superyachts) – Permanent – London – Competitive Salary
An international leader in the Superyacht industry is recruiting for a Technical Manager to join their London office.
Reporting to the Fleet Technical Manager, you will provide technical management and support to assigned vessels within the Company’s managed fleet.
Other duties include;
- Technical Management of assigned vessels including Yachts, Passenger Yachts and Passenger Ships.
- Promoting the effective use of PMS systems and appropriate conditioning monitoring techniques
- Reviewing all reported defects, analyse any significant defects and introduce measures to prevent recurrence.
- Managing dry docking and refits, creating refit specifications, shortlisting suitable shipyards and managing tendering process
- Undertaking regular Technical inspections on-board and ensure all items raised during inspections are clearly reported and followed up.
The successful candidate will have a Chief Engineer License and have sailing experience on-board Superyachts or Passenger vessels, along with a Maritime related degree or diploma.
Shore-based experience of technical management of passenger vessels is essential, as is a Superyacht appreciation.
You will also have excellent communication skills and sound knowledge of Classification, Flag and ISM/ISPS requirements.
You must have the right to live and work in the UK to be considered
ARM Maritime; Your First Port of Call.
Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on ships.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
Certificates and Qualifications
Mandatory STCW certificates are required from all applicants.
Please sign up for STCW courses and obtain the certificates if you don't have them yet.
