Job Description For Blaster/Sprayer with Fireproofing:
 
Blasters/Sprayer Category 2’s are appointed as competent persons responsible for surface preparation and coating applications at various offshore and onshore sites as instructed per client’s specification. Part of their duties is to ensure that plant and equipment is maintained on a regular and daily basis throughout the work scope duration, being a key member of a team to deliver a high standard of work on project completion.
 
Tasks And Responsibilities As Blaster/Sprayer with Fireproofing:
 
Minimum Tasks           
 
� Contribute to health, safety and environmental quality
� Set up & test all relevant plant and equipment
� Protect adjacent surfaces & the environment
� Operate compressor equipment & other such equipment
� Degrease & prepare surfaces using power tools
� Degrease & prepare surfaces using abrasive blasting methods
� Carry out required quality control checks
� Apply coatings with brush & roller
� Apply coatings with paint spray units

Essential: 

  • BOSIET/FOET
  • MIST
  • In line with OPITO – Blaster/Sprayer Competence Assessment L2
  • Bristle Blaster Training
  • Chartek Fireproofing Systems Training
    or
  • OPITO – Fireproofing Competence Assessment (Level 2)
