Designated Person Ashore / Senior Deck Officer

Grapefruit Recruitment is looking for a Designated Person Ashore / Senior Deck Officer.

The successful candidate will perform the duties of a Designated Person Ashore as defined by the ISM Code and to play a leading role in the development of the safety management system as the company expands its marine operation.

To apply for this position candidates need to have a Valid UK Master Unlimited Certificate of Competency sailed in the position of Master on a seagoing vessel for a minimum period of 2 years; must have served ashore as “designated person” as required by the ISM Code for a minimum period of 2 years; must have excellent interpersonal skills and be IT literate with full range of MS Office software.   

Candidates applying for this position must have a valid full UK driving Licence.

Due to the location of this position candidates must live and have the right to work in the EU.
