Port Captain

We are recruiting for our client who has a fantastic opportunity for a Port Captain to be a part of their growing team in Singapore.

Your responsibilities will be to ensure that vessels are fully prepared to embark on their voyages by carrying out regular vessel visits. In addition to the main task of verifying that a vessel contains sufficient crew and equipment needed to complete its mission, other responsibilities include monitoring for safety issues, supervising ship captains, scheduling maintenance, inspection duties and completion of all necessary documentation.

The right person will have several years of experience in a similar role handling Tankers in Singapore, has held a shore based position and has a thorough understanding of the audit process for IMO, SOLAS, Fag and Port State requirements.
